A while back my PC began to develop some quirky activity. Along with that the speed of pages loading began to slow as well. Now I often spend as much as 10 hours a day on the computer. So even subtle changes became very noticeable.
Along with that I began to notice email ads that seemed to follow the general topic of sites I visited often. Occasionally ads popped up from sites I barely viewed. The big difference was each new email was a sales page. I don't mind getting information from sites I enjoy reading and I receive about 75 to 80 emails a day. But when the ads began to flood in I knew I had a problem. And, the problem seems to expand. It's as if whoever snagged your email passes it around like free pizza!
Most Spyware and firewalls are resource hogs.
One of the big issues I like to avoid are software applications that are resource hogs. Most anti spy ware and firewalls eat up a lot of space running in the background . Computers are kind of like living spaces, the more room and speed you have the stuff you tend to stick in there like software, videos, photos, music, etc. And if you like a fast computer like me you'll want smooth programs..
Some tech help to speed up my computer.
In reading a software tech site I received some instructions on how to speed up my computer by shutting down applications you really don't need the article said. So, I logged into "msconfig" and set about shutting down all the unneeded software according to the article. This really worked and pages loaded faster. Windows opened faster than ever before and I enjoyed fast browsing and faster downloads and uploads.
But, it wasn't long before I developed new problems. New codecs needed for new software, video, and other uses were not being updated because I had shut down the automatic windows update program. I had to go back to Microsoft and HP to download updates. This took time and and began to get irritating not to mention leaving my system vulnerable without the constant security updates. The ads still poured into my email account. I recall visiting a visitors site for Sedona Arizona. Not long after that I began to get travel offers from travel agencies.
Enter Antispywarebot.
I purchased this program, loaded it up and let it scan the system. This program took care take care of several problems and issues that I didn't even know I had. After the scan all the issues were listed and I had the option
of terminating the spyware, about 70 to 80 applications that infested my system. I cleared them all.
There are two options in using Antispywarebot. You can do a fast scan which does take some time and then there is a deep scan. The deep scan can take as much time as defragging your computer but rest assured the software will dig up bugs you had no idea was in your computer.
I have to rate this software 5 STARS. I suggest you select a an hour or so once a week to defrag and deep scan your PC with Antispywarebot. Doing these two things will keep you speed up and slow down the constant bombardment of spyware.Click Here!
